16 February at 8:24 am
16 February at 6:08 pm
21 February at 9:14 pm

I like to use your “Registered Users Only 2″ plugin but i also need new users to register.
How do i configure your plugin to manage that?
25 February at 7:14 pm
Plugin should let guests to login and to register… Does it work correct in your installation?
26 February at 2:18 am
What i need is to let new users register with Nick, telephone (8digits) and e-mail. then admin have to confirm before they get in.
1 March at 7:23 pm
Registered-users-only-2 doesn’t have an option for admin confirmation – it is designed to work with wp-invites plugin.
30 October at 10:28 am
Using Confirm-user -registration plugin works fine with it.

1 March at 7:25 pm
1 March at 7:51 pm

Hi Jehy,
The plugin almost works perfect for me. I’m working in a buddypress enviroment. The only thing it doesn’t do is protect files. Unregistered users still able to access uploaded files if they know the path.
Any solution for this?
Best regards
Aaapjeeee
1 March at 7:01 pm
Hi.
Unfortunately, there’s no good solution for this.
We can’t check user authenification with apache, and we have to use php to preprocess file requests and output.
But if php outputs files, there’s a limit problem – you need to have very large time limit and memory limit to output file…
Few servers allow this configuration, so I don’t see any meaning to write that kind of plugin…

Is there a way to change the widget name that displays from “Meta” to something else – and if so, where would I go about doing that? I want to change it to say “Site Admin” because all I want to show is the login/logout for the site administrator. There will be no “users” (using WordPress.)
Thanks!

when registered user only 2 is active ?
best regards

I’m running registered-users-only-2 0.3 on WP 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.3. It works great for keeping the blog private, but is there a way to hide the BP activity stream?
21 May at 8:19 am
Thanks, I will look through this.
24 October at 2:48 am
I had the same question and use the code here,
9 April at 10:14 pm

You should have a more detailed message… I can’t tell anything just from this, sorry.

Great plugin! I’m looking for a specific function, however, and am just curious if this is something you’ve considered before — Tying a unique user-role to a specific invite code.
Currently, I am using the Role Manager plugin to provide read access to certain pages to specific roles. Ideally, I would like to be able to provide someone with an invite code that will automatically assign them to a pre-determined user role at registration. Something other than “Subscriber”, or the default new-user role in the Settings.
I’ve been unsuccessful at finding something with this function out there – would this be something you might consider including in a future release? Or possibly a custom job for me for a fee?
Thanks again on the great plugin, and for any assistance you can provide on this task.
Best,
Chris

Hmm. A custom job for fee is fine :)

Hello,
Could you please tell me how to create French translations files for the WP-invites plugin? If you help me to make create those files, i’d be pleased to give you them.
Thank you,
Vincent.
21 May at 8:17 am
Thank you. Right now, I don’t really have time for that.
If you wish, you can replace text for french in script itself and email me – I will include it later.

Hi,
Have set up Registered Users Only 2 and had configured the registration – can’t find it now since I deactivated & reactivated it – I want to make some changes.
More/Most important – how do I set the redirect – I do not want the registered members to see the admin – I have to have them go directly to the site homepage.
HELP!
Thank you!
WP 2.9.2, BuddyPress 1.2.3
10 May at 7:40 am
Found the sign-in form in BuddyPress now I only need to know how to redirect users to the homepage NOT the wp_admin.
Thanks!
21 May at 8:21 am
Oh. Sorry, I’m gonna fix it as soon as I can…
14 June at 1:12 pm
Hi,
Went to some other scripts that didn’t protect the whole site. Am on BuddyPress the latest version with WP 2.9.2
Have you fixed this yet – or at least tell me where to enter a redirect after login into your script. Really getting down to the wire here – I need to get this site tested and can’t do with everyone logging in and not seeing the site – only seeing the dashboard….
Still HELP…
Thank you
14 June at 2:19 pm
HI,
Think I found it – at least it seems to be working now!!
To redirect to the homepage on login:
line 147 in wp-includes > general-template.php has to be changed from:
<a href="” title=”Login”>Login
to:
<a href="” title=”Login”>Login
after much trial & error I replaced (‘url’) not with the entire URL but with just the name of the folder that my BuddyPress protected blog is in – this is because my blog is not in the root folder – if yours is it may not be necessary to change anything.
YAY… hope you can still make this easier for other users of your great script… thank you Jehy!!

Hi,
Thought my solution had fixed it – but it seems now that the ‘home’ tab – even when I am logged in to the site is the only tab that is still requesting sign-in and going to the dashboard instead of the site on sign in.
Anyone know how to change this in either this plugin or BuddyPress so the home button would know that a member is already signed in and let them stay on the website instead of taking them to the dashboard?
HELP….

Also have move up to WP 3 and the above solution no longer works on line 147! Tho the rest of the site pages/tabs are working and protected properly – only the homepage is the problem.

Jehy,
Great plugin, just what I was looking for along with wp-invites but I’m having one problem.
When registered only v2 and invites are activated, new users are clicking the confirmation link and WP/BP is confirming them on the backend but they get redirected to the login page. Then, if they log in with their credentials, WP/BP is logging them in but they land at the activate page with the error that their activation key isn’t valid.
So I’m getting people registered, but I’m getting people thinking they did something wrong and trying to register again.
I tried adding activate.php to the exclusion list hoping that would work, but it hasn’t. Can you help?
23 May at 6:43 pm
Hi! I have just installed your plugin, it works great,
I just need some advice/tip or help
how to let guests see the homepage
and login page would only be visible if they clicked on any links (not logged in)
thanks!
kris
25 May at 12:55 am
(me again- i will try and explain in a more simple way)
how to exclude page, so anyone can access it without login in,
thank you
2 June at 1:11 pm
I’m using WP 2.9.2 (not WPMU), Buddypress and Registered-Users-Only2, which all works fine. Using WP-Invites, the login page doesn’t show any field to type in the invitation code.
If I allow everyone to register, the register page shows the invitation code field, but it isn’t a required field.
Is this a known bug or am I doing sth. wrong?
